Silver plating
A layer of silver is deposited on the brass.
Thanks to its good thermal conductivity, silver provides a smooth and comfortable feel on the lips.
We have chosen an exceptional plating with a thick layer of silver – 20 µm, ensuring very high quality and long-term durability.
Gold plating
A layer of pure 24-carat gold is deposited over the silver plating.
Thanks to its high thermal conductivity, gold provides a soft and warm sensation on the lips.
We have chosen an excellence plating in pure 24-carat gold, the only metal that does not oxidize over time.

It’s really amazing to have you, Dimitri!
It feels like everything becomes possible

Thanks. The 168D is a fantastic and superlative mouthpiece. I’ve never had anything like it. Maybe this is your best? I will give you a lot of publicity. It looks like part B6S1, but definitely better. More comfortable, more beautiful sound, centered, ideal for jazz. Thanks
Guillaume Lavallard –
Thank you for the impeccable quality of your equipment.
You see I can’t live without it!!
Good for you
Guillaume Lavallard –
Yes, thank you so much!
Last night I was still hitting a strong high E after an hour and a half of funk — I’ve got to say, thank you Donat Mouthpiece!!
It’s actually the first high-rim mouthpiece I’ve ever managed to play, and it’s also versatile for solos.
Thanks for your precious help

Switching from the 7C to the 168D definitely triggered something for me, that’s for sure!
As for the 168D, it’s a resonant mouthpiece with texture, easy to play, offering good flexibility, very efficient, and well-suited to playing with mutes.
It’s now my favorite mouthpiece — thank you, Dimitri.
Regarding the 169E, it’s more of an experiment for me: I’ve never played on an uplifted mouthpiece before, only on deep ones like Bach 8½ or Bach 7C Artist.
These are new sensations and open up different possibilities from what I’ve experienced so far

I’m very excited, the Touvron and 168D both worked better for me than any other pieces I have. it was super fun to play
Niklas Graumann –
Yesterday I picked up my 168D trumpet mouthpiece again after playing a different model for a while and I was shocked by how good it felt to play!
I just wanted to say that I appreciate your work and hopefully there’ll be an opportunity to buy another one from you down the road.
For now, I’m pretty happy with what I have though
Best of luck with your new workshop and all the best
Pedro –
My technique has changed a lot since I started studying seriously.
I finally turned to a 168D, which makes the upper register easier and allows for greater endurance
Leland Osby –
Hello Donat! Hope that you are well and trying to stay as virus-free as possible.
Earlier this year I purchased a 168D trumpet mouthpiece from you.
It has become my go-to mouthpiece — the wide flat rim is perfect for the all-around style that I play.
Can’t play on Bach’s anymore!
Julien Leopold –
Your mouthpieces are of very high quality — the difference from others is immediately noticeable.
Beyond the slightly crisp Lee-style sound, I’ve noticed a clear improvement in sound response, comfort, power, note centering, and clarity in the upper register.
The Massive version even has the unexpected benefit of balancing my trumpet, which is quite heavy, and making it easier to bring to the face… Fantastic
Bruno Depecker –
Dimitri one day I will make you a very short little demo with your 168D mouthpiece with which I play in a tribute to Amy Winehouse. I think it’s safe to say that your mouthpieces have a real personality. I can’t explain otherwise. But there is a very personal and different sound leg of the mouthpieces of which I will not mention the names of the brands because it is not done. The sensation is also not the same and I feel an ease and a homogeneity in the passages in each register, a precision also in the centering of the sound. Glad to have discovered your mouthpieces. As soon as I can I will dig deeper to get another one. But Cavaillon-Avignon to your place is a long way. I had brought 4-5 mouthpieces from your workshop, but it was specifically for treble or lead. There, one day I will try to type in a less specific register
