The shape of a blank<\/strong>\u00a0is never a fixed choice.
It influences response, feeling, stability, and the relationship to effort<\/strong>, and it may respond differently depending on the playing context, the musician\u2019s condition, or the musical situation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Some shapes favor ease, responsiveness, or brilliance<\/strong>, while others bring greater stability, density, or control<\/strong>.
These shapes do not oppose each other: they can be complementary<\/strong>, each responding to a specific need.<\/p>\n

It is common for a musician to feel more comfortable with a certain shape depending on:<\/p>\n

\u2013 the length of playing<\/strong>,
\u2013 the level of fatigue<\/strong>,
\u2013 the acoustic environment<\/strong> (indoors or outdoors),
\u2013 the repertoire<\/strong>,
\u2013 or simply the feeling of the day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this reason, at the Donat Workshop<\/strong>, we consider the cup shape as a tool of adaptation<\/strong>, not as a single and definitive choice.
Certain combinations of shapes can support the musician in different situations, without altering their fundamental references.<\/p>\n

It is in this spirit that we develop mouthpiece sets<\/strong>, combining several shapes designed for complementary uses<\/strong>, while maintaining a coherent playing feel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
